Let me tell you a story about a stressful month. Picture it, May 2026 and my dog suffers a neurological event while hiking in Rangeley that left us all stressed out and scared - and if you're a dog lover, you get it. Emergency vet visits in Southern Maine, specialty neurology consults, MRIs...and so on and so on. And then somehow the universe heard me say, "What next!?" and took it as a challenge - and my car died. ...and so I found myself car-less and faced with the daunting task of car shopping. Somehow I had to figure out how to take time off from work and leave my neurologically injured dog to go look at cars and deal with salesmen who direct questions to my husband instead of me. (IYKYK...right ladies?) So, I started to browse the local to us dealers, figuring I could minimize my time away from home and keep my dollars local. What started as innocent browsing online, turned into a full blown car buying experience like no other. (I also got incredibly lucky that Shepard had 2 of the exact vehicle models I wanted to test drive -- I didn't buy one, but the Chevy Trailblazer is an amazing little ride and super cute to boot!) First of all, let's start with Zak. Zak was knowledgeable, helpful, and had a great sense of humor throughout the entire process. Car shopping - and especially the buying part - is not my favorite activity, but Zak worked closely with my husband, Rick, to make everything as streamlined and painless as possible. One thing I especially appreciated was how Zak treated ME (not my husband...this is MY car, not his) as the customer throughout the process. Even though my husband was helping coordinate much of the shopping, Zak never talked around me or directed conversations solely to him. He made a point to keep me informed, reached out directly with updates, and made sure I felt involved and comfortable every step of the way. The team at Shepard went above and beyond, accommodating my work schedule by allowing Rick to bring vehicles to me for test drives during the day. They also handled nearly all of the paperwork over the phone, which made the process incredibly convenient. When it came time to pick up my new-to-me Mazda CX-50, I was in and out of the showroom in less than 10 minutes. Zak also went out of his way to make the experience fun and exciting. From sending updates along the way to hyping me up on pickup day, he made me feel genuinely excited about my purchase instead of stressed by the process. Second and to top it all off, the finance team secured a great interest rate and kept me right within my target monthly payment. I can't thank Zak and the entire Shepard team enough for making what is usually a stressful experience so easy, efficient, and enjoyable. If you're in the market for a new or new-to-you vehicle, do yourself a favor and go see Zak at Shepard - you'll be glad you did!

I bought a new Ram 2500 from Shepard auto group. Ask for the salesman Gorden Simmons, he was really great to deal with. He’s a straight shooter and doesn’t play the typical games you get when purchasing a vehicle. He will work hard to get you in the vehicle you are looking for at the lowest price possible. He gave me an unbelievably great trade in price for my truck I traded in. 20% more than every other dealership I visited. Even after the sale he was still very helpful with any questions I had about features in the new truck. I’ve bought many vehicles over the years and usually once you sign the paperwork the salesman wants no more to do with you because he’s already made his sale but definitely not the case with him/Shepard auto group. I’ll be buying every vehicle in the future from them. 5 well earned stars.

Jose and Trevon where the best sales people I have ever dealt with. They were very help full and very honest with me. Trevon gave me very useful information on how to do my payments and save me money. I could not be more pleased that I ended up with these two great men as my sales people.

Mike and Igor were awesome, we got my daughter her first car at a great interest rate and it was perfect for all weather. Loved how quick the process was and their sincerity. It was a great deal with genuine service.

Mike and Nate were so hard at managing to sell the 2024 Toyota Rav4 to me (Golda) and my cousin Barbara that we're so proud of them that all the help to make this happen that there's no words that we can express enough.

Mike and Nate work so hard on getting our car and they were the best people going and we got a RAV4 we never thought we'd get it but we got one and so I take them very much and that they are good people to help people out

As always, I would recommend Shepard’s to anyone who wants service, honesty, reliability. For people who think that dealers are more expensive than private mechanics, they are wrong. Always easy to get an appointment. Everyone is always courteous and helpful. And service work is performed in a timely manner so I'm not stuck in a waiting room all day.
